With over 39 years in practice, Myles E. Eastwood is a veteran of the legal systems and processes in both State and Federal courts.

Appellate Practice, Federal and State

With over 30 published opinions, Mr. Eastwood has litigated a wide variety of federal question cases in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh, Fourth, Fifth and Federal Circuits, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the United States Supreme Court. Author of FEDERAL APPELLATE PRACTICE IN THE ELEVENTH CIRCUIT (The Harrison Co., 1997) and Volume 3, GEORGIA LITIGATION FORMS & ANALYSIS (Lawyers Cooperative Publishing/West Group) (discovery sanctions, trials and appellate practice), chaired the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Georgia's biennial Federal Appellate Practice Seminar since 1987.

Trials and Alternative Dispute Resolution
Lead counsel in over 100 civil, criminal and administrative trials. Has served as a panel arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. Currently mediator through National Arbitration and Mediation, Inc. Has chaired the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Georgia's biennial Federal Trial Practice Seminar since 1993.

Administrative Law
With over 20 published decisions involving the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and other federal agency issues, Mr. Eastwood has handled over 300 cases in health care, peer review, disability, environment, military separations and promotions, and employment discrimination issues.

Claims Against Government Officials and Agencies
A former Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, Mr. Eastwood has over 20 published decisions involving claims against governmental entities and their officials, under constitutional and common law tort bases.

Employment Law
Litigating the full range of discrimination, retaliation and harassment claims, Mr. Eastwood has obtained numerous verdicts and judgments for clients, on both the plaintiff and defendant sides.

Business Torts and Contract Claims
With a Masters of Business Administration, Mr. Eastwood has successfully concluded claims for and against publicly traded businesses and their senior management, small businesses and individuals.

Wrongful Death, Professional Negligence, and Personal Injury

Military Service
United States Navy
Myles Eastwood served 24 years in the United States Navy, active and Reserve. He retired in the grade of Captain (pay grade O-6). A Vietnam veteran, his duties included service overseas, as well as Commanding Officer of two units and Staff Judge Advocate of the Naval Reserve Readiness Command in Philadelphia, Pa., where he supervised Navy JAG officers in units located in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
